Interventions can be deployed within 48 hours, either on-site or remotely, depending on the community’s needs.
The story behind A1 Intervention
Gabriel's Journey
Gabriel Lacoste-Piotte is a certified social worker in Quebec and the founder of A1 Intervention. He specializes in crisis intervention, post-traumatic support, and the management of psychosocial risks in the workplace, particularly in the construction industry and other high-risk environments.
Through A1 Intervention, he supports organizations facing difficult situations such as serious workplace accidents, critical incidents, traumatic events, teams experiencing psychological shock, or organizational crises requiring immediate psychosocial support.
Her approach is practical, grounded in real-world experience, and tailored to the realities of demanding work environments. It aims to provide interventions that are both clinically sound and practically applicable in the real-world workplace.
From the field to the creation of A1 Intervention
Before devoting himself fully to psychosocial intervention, Gabriel also worked directly on construction sites in Nunavik, in Northern Quebec, where he was involved in housing and infrastructure projects.
This experience gave him a deeper understanding of the culture of construction sites, the realities of remote work, and the physical and psychological demands workers face. Today, this hands-on experience helps him build strong relationships of trust with workers and organizations, while speaking in a credible and practical manner.
His experience also includes working with a variety of groups, including construction workers, industrial teams, healthcare workers, and communities in the North.

A1 Intervention was founded to provide a more flexible, specialized, and tailored response to the specific realities of workplaces facing critical incidents, interpersonal conflicts, or growing mental health needs.
Our mission is simple: to help organizations and workers navigate difficult times, regain a sense of stability, and implement more equitable responses in the wake of a crisis or trauma.

Education and Professional Experience
Gabriel holds degrees in social work and history, as well as advanced training in management and crisis intervention.
Her professional experience includes crisis intervention and post-traumatic support, occupational mental health and the prevention of psychosocial risks, individual psychosocial follow-ups, support for returning to work and workplace adaptation, as well as the development of training programs and workshops for managers and teams.
